Post #1/ Week 3- Awful Type

The reason I picked the advertisement below is because I think that if you just glanced at this, you would just think it was a picture of a mailbox.  When actually it is an ad to show that DVD's are delivered.  The font is above the number on the mailbox, 26, and is extremely small.  I do get the idea and I think it is very smart.  Unfortunately, I don't think it will work as an advertisement because no one is going to understand it unless they get a magnifying glass.  In addition to changing the font type and making it a bigger size so that it is at least readable, an additional line of copy in the bottom corner, in maybe a red color, because it would stand out would be a great idea.  For example, if it was NetFlix...they should have their logo in the corner and maybe a saying like "being delivered right to your door."  This way we understand the point of it and know where it is coming from.

Horizontal business cards

Vertical business cards

Be sure to do a "Save link as" when you download these files from this site. These are template files, so you have to use the "Save As" to create your own file from them once you start.

Also, don't forget the printer's marks option when you go to print - it will help you in trimming the files.
